Much as Kwai would love to claim that taking garlic is the be all and end all of heart health there are obviously other things you should be doing to look after your heart. And like many things, it's the small things that make the biggest differences.
Try Serene Foster's (pictued below) tips on for size and see how much your heart loves you as a result:

Walk yourself healthy
Experts recommend we take 10,000 steps a day to improve our health and at least 4,000 to stay healthy. Take the stairs instead of the lift or if you ride a bus, get off a stop before your destination.
Cut the fatty snacks
Foods high in unhealthy saturated fat such as cakes and crisps can lead to increased cholesterol levels. Instead try snacking on fresh and dried fruit.
Increase your fibre
Fibre plays an important role in helping to maintain healthy cholesterol levels. A wholegrain breakfast is an easy way to eat the recommended 25-35g of fibre daily.
Stop smoking
An obvious, but necessary and essential way to improve heart health.
Eat your heart healthy
Eating two portions of oily fish a week can help boost your intake of heart friendly omega 3 fatty acids.
