Kwai gets to the heart of the matter

Fancy a greasy burger?  How about some French fries or a bucket of fried chicken?  Given the recent media backlash against fast food, your desire for a McTakeaway may well have simmered down and many of us are opting for home cooked meals instead. Whether your home cooked meal is actually any healthier than your average takeaway, however, is up for debate.

Research by Kwai Garlic has revealed that whilst people are aware of the heart health dangers of takeaways and ready meals they are more than happy to tuck into classic dishes like lasagne, roast dinners and spaghetti bolognese on a regular basis, unaware that these meals can contain just as much as fat and salt as a takeaway.

So what's the problem with these seemingly harmless meals?  About 55g of saturated fat per portion, nearly the same amount found in two Big Macs, that's what!
