Clever Eating

We all know how important it is to eat a healthy diet that includes a variety of fruit and vegetables, particularly those that are brightly coloured.  All fruit and veg provides thousands of compounds that provide antioxidants and offer protection from a variety of diseases, but some are better than others for keeping your brain in check.Clever Food
These are the foods that you should try and boost your intake of in order to maintain brain health:
Cruciferous vegetables as the name suggests, these are vegetables whose leaves grow in a cross, or crucifix shape.  They include broccoli, cauliflower, sprouts, cabbage and kale, and have been found to increase memory according to a study carried out by Harvard researchers.  They found that women who ate these vegetables performed better in memory tests than women of the same age that didn’t.  The difference was the equivalent of a brain age of approximately two years younger!
Blueberries numerous studies have labelled blueberries a ‘superfood’, and with good reason.  They have one of the highest antioxidant levels of all fruit and vegetables, and also fight inflammation.  This two-pronged attack is one of the best ways to fight the different signs of ageing.
Also try and make sure you get enough:
Oily fish and nuts healthy omega-3 fatty acids are good for all the organs, particularly the heart and brain.  They fight cholesterol, keeping your arteries clear and elastic, therefore ensuring good circulation to brain cells.
